Songwriting Collective
The songwriting collective is made up of young people from different ages and cultural backgrounds, who participated in songwriting and recording intensives with Grow The Music.
Details
This culminated in the development of the original project anthem and film clip. The song incorporates five community languages including Gumbaynggirr, English, Arabic, Swahili and Kurdish Kurmanji.
The songwriting collective came together through a call-out for interested young musicians in the community, and through music outreach workshops in four local schools, with 150 young people participating.
