Change the Story

Change the Story is a Hip Hop and cultural awareness project promoting cross cultural connection, belonging, inclusion, education and empowerment of young people.

Details

The project brings young people together to discuss racism and other issues affecting young people, learn about local Gumbaynggirr culture and understand more about each other. Our pilot program worked with First Nations and Ezidi young people from both Coffs Harbour and Orara Highschools. Our program is now being run in local high schools along the Coffs Coast. The students write and record original songs and film clips in collaboration with professional artists.
